Beautiful Glass

Trust must be earned,
It is like glass so beautiful and once it is broken impossible to be put back together the same way again,
You trusted me and I lied to you,
You made me feel safe and loved,
But I messed that up.
Now I am no one to you,
But you are still everything to me,
When I see your face I remember,
I remember your eyes sparkling in the light of the stars,
I remember when you used to smile at me; it was all I need to brighten my day,
It hurt knowing you don't love me anymore,
It hurts knowing you're disappointed in me,
It hurts every day,
It hurts the most when I see you and you glance at me but I know you don't really care,
I wonder sometimes if you can see the tracks of the tears on my face,
If you can I know you wouldn't care,
Because if you cared you would ask,
I get angry because we were once so close and now we don't even talk,
I'm angry at myself for lying and being so stupid,
I'm angry at you for making me think you cared about me and not forgiving me,
I'm angry at couples, who I see, so in love because I don't have that anymore,
I know I have no right to be angry but I am,
I can't change the past if I could I would without hesitation,
I want you to know I still love you and I always will.
