Indifferent

I was tricked
By your questions, your curiosity.
You flew in with your thoughts and your
Peculiar grace,
I thought you only existed in my head.
But you were indifferent.

Always a dreamer, I floated through days
Full of laughter and memories made
With those who make up a perfect picture.
And you were indifferent.

It was the end of spring in our concrete jungle's
Piazza of colour, a bright orange took hold and
I was awake, I was excited, but I did not know
You were indifferent.

Your quiet intelligence and wit persisting
Always,
With every word came a new surprise,
You look at me, and I believe you see me,
I laugh as we run over water,
A moment of bliss witnessed by our jungle's bright eye,
But still you are indifferent

A man lost in both words and numbers,
Stares with wonder at the world he wishes to uncover.
A quiet curiosity.
Charming? No. Interesting.
But indifferent

Your beautiful orange disrupted my perfect picture
But it is something I can forgive
As I still hope,
You will not always be indifferent.
