Dawn

From a tiny chimney escapes smoke,
And travelling with it is mortal agony,
All the strings that pull fotresses down,
Against will, a head wears a thorny crown in a tearful frown.
As the sun engirths today,
Pitch-black will light from our minds fray,
As golden shafts, tears scintillate the earth,
From it's four reaches emanates healthy breath.
As celestial gold peers from the horizon and hold,
Holds that scroll and unfold,
Unfolds many a story untold,
Stories of joy or sorrow?
Tales which destinies must follow,
Slaked wine of lime
will be quaffed from goblets of brine.
Now, dawn,
Here again, a fawn,
In monotonous palpitation of inimitable promises,
Open ur innocuous claws and shower wishes and kisses
Into shrivelled bossoms we pray,
For 'Tis a new day
In a new year...
Let there be no cause for a drop of tear.
