Best Poem of Emily Engle

Put her in containment
Enclose her in darkness
See her start to crumble
And break from fear

The walls start to cave in
No room left to breathe
It's a python squeezing her neck
A thousand bricks upon her chest

Forgetting how to inhale
Asphyxiating on absolutely nothing
Mouth dry, air bitter
Exhausted from fighting

Hyperventilating too much now
Black dots cover her vision
Despair sneaks up
Kicks behind her knees

She collapses to the ground
No way to get up
Finally, she admits defeat
And shadows take over light
