Colors all used to be so dull
Curves and corners never had much shape
Nature never had anything in it my mind couldn’t make
Everything my eyes laid upon used to put my life in a lull

There’s always something out of place
A color that doesn’t quite match
A couch on a ceiling
A food that you would never eat

My fin ger is broken
My will is dwindling
And I need a steady paycheck
To feel at home

looking at everythig eyes will allow me to see
spotted something beautiful written in blood
heard an unsung song put it on repeat
danced to its rhythm all the way round the sun

A Love Poem Of Sorts

Colors all used to be so dull
Curves and corners never had much shape
Nature never had anything in it my mind couldn’t make
Everything my eyes laid upon used to put my life in a lull
I never knew what my eyes were for Love,
Until you walked in and eye saw

The sound of birds singing used to be pretty but only for so long
Soft music playing was euphonious but soon became noise
No one ever said anything in a tone unlike any other voice
Raindrops beating on the roofing made me want to be alone
I never knew what my ears were for Love,
Until you came into them and I heard

Cool breezes blowing in the summer feel good but give an uncomfortable chill when I sweat
Many things like fire biting falling and being hit cause nothing but pain
Sex is an amazing feeling but after thirty minutes or so the feeling won’t sustain
Hugs would briefly comfort me then have me feeling trapped in a net
I never knew what this skin was for Love,
Until you touched it and I felt

Religion never did much but offended my senses
Science is beautiful for how but when it’s time for why it comes up short
Once heard this was only about dying but that’s a view my heart just couldn’t support
Such silly explanations out there I couldn’t even straddle the fences
I never knew what life was for Love,
Until you gave it to me and I lived
