White Roses

The bouquet of white roses
Lies in the water.
Speckled with scarlet

A girl- blond hair, green eyes, freckles, and matching red slashes on her wrists
Lies in the tub.

A boy-dark haid, pale, fierce blue eyes, screams as he holds her tight,
Clutching her stained hair in his hands,
Frantically shouting for her to wake up.

In another world, the girl sits at the edge of the cliff.
A man sits next to her.

Don't leave them.
He says, frowning at her.

It hurts so much,
She replies, crying.

Then let them comfort you.
The man replies.

She sobs.

She has a choice.

Walk back to the land of the living, or dive into the hole of the dead

She stands up.

Dries her tears.

In another world, the boy sees his love open her eyes.
They kiss.

The roses are thrown away.

In another world, a man holds a bouquet in his hands.

Waiting to save another soul.
