Things Change

Why did you let this happen girl, Why did you let me fall
The one that I could count on, I trusted you must of all

Now I have nothing left, Its all like a horrible dream
Everything I had is lost, and of which I can't redeem

I know I have made mistakes, I'm just a human being
No harm was caused on anyone, no one except for me

The love we shared was priceless, the kind we dream of when were young
But i guess I really wasn't the man that you thought as the one

We used to sit all night, just talking about everything,
the past, the future and how perfect it all must seem

What about the times i used to hold you while you slept,
from dusk, till dawn, your side i never left

But things started changing, i could tell by the way you spoke,
Acting like this whole realtionship was nothing but a joke

We had some good times, at least I thought they were,
but you took me granted and made me feel insecure

Time and time again, I have looked into your eyes,
Trying to decipher the truth from all the lies

I can't figure it out, in fact I am confused,
Was it my love you really wanted, or was I being used

I thought forever we would be together, seperation never crossed my mind
But when you chose to love another, it felt like stabbing from behind

Oh well life goes on, you will always be in my heart,
I gave you a shot, you blew it, and now we are apart.
