Evelyn Morgan Poems

In Your Absence

I sit alone in the old stuffed chair
In the middle of the sun-filled room
And think of you.
Spanish guitar gently assails

Stay Awhile

Talk to me
Make me laugh -
For the darkness creeps in
carrying its ghostly baggage

A Snowy Day

The world seems to be done over
in shades of white and gray.
The sky is white as the ground
and just as cold.

In The Arms Of Morpheus

He's a long way
from the dank trenches
of northern France.
