But nobody forever stays young
Beauty does fade to time's decay
Life it does work in this way

Everyone have their stories of life for to tell
And so many only know of life in Earthly Hell
But these are the people we do not hear of or read about
Of any recognition sadly they do lose out

They are birds I hear and see often almost every day
The new Holland honeyeaters in black, gold and grey
Distinctive on their appearance and their loud chirping song
Once seen and once heard you never again get them wrong

For forty five years I've been working and I'm just an unfettered slave
And I have gray hairs to show for it I am quoting Kiwi Dave
Five years to go to retirement I was sixty last birthday
And ever since I've started working it's been uphill all the way.

Which surely makes George Soros a true great
He's helped the drug addicts the poor and homeless
And to the underclass he's a true mate.

In her young years she was a swimmer and she had this wonderful dream
That she would compete for Australia as part of the Olympic team
And though she made the National finals and there she swam her greatest race
She could not compete for her Country as she was beaten out of a place.
