Always has the look on his of one financially down
With a beautiful looking wife and a university going daughter and son
He does not have the facial appearance of a lucky in life one

That it is a great privilege goes without doubt
For to live in this wonderful Land of the south
Where the sun on most places does shine every day
Of Australia's rare beauty are there words for to say

Life has it's moments of laughter and life has it's moments of tears
On the life's journey we are on there are sad and happy years
Memories stir up human feelings and such feelings do run deep
For people we loved and laughed with at their passing we do weep

In Claramore as Judy Pomeroy she first saw light of day
And later became the wife of Denis Buckley of Mount Leader from there not far away
A good mother to her children and to the late Denis a good wife
In view of Clara Mountain she lived most of her life

In the groves of Claraghatlea norththe birds are singing today
I fancy i can hear them in the distance far away
And in the rushy old fields where the waterways do meet
The male pheasants are crowing near the Town of Millstreet

In a hundred years from now stars will shine in the night sky
And the migratory birds to breed from south to the northern Spring will fly

And life on Planet Earth will go on as the same

That for a minority to win many destined to lose life ought not be this way
In a Human World where Loser is an often used put down word of the day
Where only the winners do stand proud and tall
And no such a thing as a fair go for all

Where there are not many trees and bushes not many birds and animals you will see
For wild creatures for to shelter in need every bush and tree
That wildlife numbers are being decimated by habitat destruction all around the World today
Is a poor reflection on human kind it does seem sad to say

For some form of success in life many do strive
But for others the battle is just to survive
And many define what success is in ways differently
At least anyway that's how it seems to be
