If the king were born a girl the king would be a queen
And if there was sufficent rainfall the brown hill would look green
But 'if' it is an obsacle that always gets in the way
And if is quite a common word an excuse word one might say.

In her early twenties in her prime when her hair was chestnut brown
She was one of the finest in South Gippsland and the Rose of Yarram Town
But now with a light brown hair dye she cloaks her natural gray
And with heavy makeup she conceals her wrinkles of decay.

When the reaper from me the breath of life take away
It will not matter to me then where my remains will lay
Or if i am remembered or not will not matter to me
Though at least of all worries death does set us free.

It is not by the best of example they lead
But those into self promotion they seem to succeed
The humble at heart always seem to lose out
The bigger the success the bigger the mouth,

Why do you love someone who does not love you
Who to you could never be faithful and true
Of love many singers feel happy for to sing
But unrequieted love it is such a sad thing
...

Farewell to the poets and poetesses of Nature
Their beautiful rhymes are a gift of the heart
In literature they will always be remembered
For their promotion of Nature in which they played a huge part.

Born in the wrong place they must battle the odds
The forsaken people of the lesser gods
For months on end the sun has burned in the clear sky
And the crops did not grow since the ground was too dry,

The clock on his life it keeps ticking away
And he is looking older and looking more gray
And with far more wrinkles than he had last year
Still he likes to sing and he still likes his beer

All through the Spring i hear him at daybreak
His voice is a voice one can never mistake
The song of the blackbird is a song that i know
It always takes me to the decades ago

For their financial futures they have no cause for fear
These C E O's of big corporations who are paid millions in money each year
In a World where millions are dying of hunger and millions live in poverty
The unequal distribution of wealth seems ridiculous to me
