Minions Of The Light

I got the electric city blues,
Jolted by urban decay,
Spasmed by tarred breathless mania,
Shot through by trampling black Fridays,
Shocked by frenzied countdowns to nothings,
(Vampires Zombies Internets) -
Finally tilted over by us, our social beast,
"We the people, "
Buttered onto electric lit stove,
Burned in own gas valves for fireworks.

Outbreaks of inner electric catatonic
Specialties slip into our caffeine,
Spurring us alongside momentary spaces
Of mausoleums, boardrooms, lecture halls,
Jitterbugs to win and dine and get ...
