Francis Uche Obinna Poems

Chronicles the defining moments that characterise the push of an oppressed people in contemporary African society.Aims to portend the final aggression being undertaken by the governed peasant folk.

Mother Africa as is being portrayed by it's inhabitants, an almost virgin vast continent of acres upon acres of fertile lands and breathtaking landscape. Set right in the heart of a tropical region with lots of resources yet untouched.

Upon my yearning I percieve a place so precious
Will strive for takes which tend to my heart on a journey
To acquire as well as to indulge
Ideals to secure tomorrow's flight in submission

A Better Place For My Brethren

Chronicles the defining moments that characterise the push of an oppressed people in contemporary African society.Aims to portend the final aggression being undertaken by the governed peasant folk.

Mother Africa as is being portrayed by it's inhabitants, an almost virgin vast continent of acres upon acres of fertile lands and breathtaking landscape. Set right in the heart of a tropical region with lots of resources yet untouched. The people are being frustrated, though their brethrens rule over the various lands, chain reactions of bad governance, hatred, poverty disease, hunger and starvation seems to be so prevalent.Hence the solemn desire to discover a truly dynamic brethren who can transform the lives of it's populace and thus revive and sustain the hopes and to completely the eradicate from the hearts of the hearthen, the potent fear which came with a realisation that even the leaders who are descendants of this great mother Africa can so viscious alter it's progress and then fail in it's original desire to guarantee a better place for my brethren.
