Undefeated

There is a war.
I am told that the war cannot be won.

And there is hope. There is always hope.

There is mortality.
Nature has an agenda and never pauses.

And there is love. Love is the grand equalizer of human evanescence.

There is change.
The engine of change eventually transforms all things. Change is the life-force of Nature, and seldom is Nature negotiable.

And there is renewal. Survival requires adaptation. Change necessitates innovation.

There is a war, but the war cannot be won.
The enemy is within. It is not rational. It is not empathetic.

The alien soldiers are clones that look just like me. They toil to consume all available resources. They are determined to grow and to multiply unchecked.

And ironically their desperate conquest will result in their own demise.

There is a battle over position.
Resistance troops continuously deploy from a distant system. These patrols seek out the enemy for the kill.

The enemy would like nothing more than to breach the realm of the Resistance Fighters. I am told that it is only a matter of time.

And there is science. New technology can target the enemy and make them easier to identify. This is good; this delays the inevitable.

There is a battle of will.
The enemy has launched an insidious propaganda campaign to get inside my head. It wants to suppress my resolve. It intends to break my spirit.

My opponent would like for me to surrender. It promotes dark thoughts that obscure truth. The doublespeak that comes from within is treacherous.

The enemy constantly challenges my belief system. It broadcasts misconception. It wants me to feel self-pity. It even tries to make me feel guilty for surviving.

And there is a place. There is a place where pragmatism and time are suspended. This place is my refuge.

I often journey to this place in order to comprehend the emotional attack. I descend into the depths of the mind and transcend the boundaries of the metaphysical. I go there to search for the intangible.

This theater is illuminated with rays of enlightenment. Here I can sense the indiscernible. Here I can find balance. Here I can realize true providence.

I am resolute to win the battle of will. I am a fighter, and I am resilient. My strength comes from within and from others. I grow stronger every day.

There is a war, but the war cannot be won.
And I am a Warrior. I shall never surrender.
