YESTERYEAR
When I was a kid I remember
the milkman and his cart
The rattle of the bottles
...

I have my life back again
From a pit of deep despair
I used to dig it deeper
with Every passing year

This Is A Pome About How My Neighbourhood Was When I Was Young

YESTERYEAR
When I was a kid I remember
the milkman and his cart
The rattle of the bottles
Often woke me with a start
The noise of the horces hoofs
On the cobbles in our street
As our neighborhood awoke
Was a sound you could not beet
We also had the breadman
The coal man and the like
The guy that sharpened knives
With the grindstone on his bike
The pigman came each day
And took away the sloops
Messenger boys delivered
groceries from the shops
The binmen arived
each week it was a dirty job
They really worked hard
To earn their few bob
When you were sick
the doctor called
sometimes twice a day
Allways there to help
And chase our bugs away
Our community worked together
we all played a part
And those memories
of yesteryear
are allways in my Heart
