I think no one will read this poem
Immersed within a sea of words
A shout aloud to all the world
Nobody hears
...
It took a while to learn
That hopeless was a mild term
That black didn't describe
The dark before light ever shone.
...
Now that I know my way about
I have become so circumspect
I'm seized, preoccupied by doubt.
I cannot speak, my life is wrecked.
...
I don't dream of your laughter
I dream of your tears
That will wash your dusty soul,
Soften your hardened heart,
...
I Think No One Will Read This Poem
I think no one will read this poem
Immersed within a sea of words
A shout aloud to all the world
Nobody hears
I think no one will read this poem
So many voices singing out
Their treasured words cacophony
Nobody cares
I think no one will read this poem
Because it isn't on their phone
A billion birds all twittering
Nobody sees
I think no one will read this poem
And knowingly begin to grin
Then send it to a friend or two
Nobody knows
