Mirage

It is a mirage, yet I can reach it
Not of water, but of desires
Not of roads, but of life
Still, I fail what it requires
Furlong, afar off, my heart waits
But the clouds I still chase.
Sunrise comes to remind me -
my Soul holds a deep space
I may have found it
I may now smile
But I only hope
It stays the mile
I have felt fire -
And the bitters of the cold
I have held mountain stones
Stones that flowed like water
Stones made of bones
Yet I see the mirage again
It mocks my desperation
But my victory smile's on -
Perhaps what I'm bringing,
makes mirages a true torn.
