I Lost Myself

i had theses holes in my heart
that made me feel so lonely
and so incomplete
then you came along
and you didn't really fit
a little too crooked
with a few chipped corners
but i rearranged everything
threw some stuff out
you kind of fit
as long as i didn't feel empty
i didn't care about the pain
the excruciating pain
that was a result of
me tearing out my friends
moving my family to the side
sticking my opinions in the back
gnawing away my beliefs
to the point where there was
only you
only you existed in my heart
i was no longer me
i lost myself
just so i wouldn't feel empty
