Allegory? (About The Fish)

Last night I dreamed
about a forklift
and a
kitty staining the carpet
of an apartment
my parents owned
in the 80s
The forklift was charging
a bank vault door
and the kitty was leaving
the bones of fish
so I'd follow it
to the window looking in
I saw-
my living soul
cowering against the dark
eye winking out
blackness
and I shuttered to awaken
without her
