This Evening Shall Pass
The aged old men walked around chattering
Aged old women sat in a round gossiping
Children playfully kicked the dusty ball
The autumn wind arrived early this 'Fall'
The trees were stripped of their leaves
That lay scattered and some in heaps
Migratory birds flew their last flight
Across the land with all their might
Seemingly, rushed into the burning sun
In orange sky, who could stop their run
Sparrows flew back after a brief roam
With food for the newly born, back home
Pigeons lined the walls of the old mosque
In the warmth of the evening sun, to bask
When the old vintage clock struck five
Workers cleared off, like bees from a hive
Playgrounds emptied as dusk settled in
City lights glew -night's about to begin
Though you wish to embrace the nature's canvas
The "Echo" will ring and this evening shall pass
