Time
Why doth thou ne'er sleep or rest
Yon the inn or a shady tree?
Thou trod on geoid's eras one after
Yet no wear or tear o'ercomes thee
Time! Thou art our rightful ancestor
Ageing back to epochs beneath
Thy eyes spectate the tales of urban,
Thy lips speak of the heath.
Thou show us the cradles we were born,
Thou doth of our deeds prophesise
And the moments that fall amidst
Thou rule by thr scorched orb's fall and rise
Thou art today, thou will be tommorrow,
Thou art till farewell glee n sorrow.
Time! Thou art full of eternity
In thy waters caravels of history flow,
Till they tumble down thy rapids,
As drops descend from ones eyebrow!
I plee to thee, speak of thy destiny,
Beyond the thoughts of mortal mind they lie,
Beyond grace n sorrow, and yet beyond
Sunk in the mist of when thee...............will die!
