A Little Ghost

I knew her for a little ghost
That in my soul have walked;
The walls were high - higher than most,
And the big gate was locked.

Kick Myself

Kick myself from time to time
Kick myself for being blind
Kick myself for talking low
Kick myself for acting slow

I Wish

I wish I’d be a stone
That you could sit upon;
I wish I’d be the air
run-passing through your hair;

Not Mine

“you write beautifully
but now
nobody sees us
strip off your rhymes

The Door

I do, somehow, remember that I’ve been here before –
I recognized the color and sound of this old door –
So odd it seems to me and… all at once… so good
To find a piece of you in this forgotten wood
