As the days go by and time carries on
As chances go past and dreams are gone
I'll always be there when you are left alone
I'll always hold you as you've always known
Whenever you need me just call to my name
For I am the one who will remain the same
That only one you will forever remember
In times of sadness where your heart surrenders
But when I have wiped away all your tears
When you have the strength to face your fears
And you travel again on your amazing journey
I will stay here and wait for all eternity
I will not complain nor will I ask for more
No matter how much, for you my heart adores
Only my actions of just being there
Only the committment of friendship I share
You will never know the feelings I hide
Or everytime I'm there, I die inside
Sometimes I feel I can't carry on
Sometimes it feels that this is all wrong
Why must I play the part of an angel
To be forgotten when there is no more
