Yesterday

I don't know what I have become
Inside of me I am numb
It is hard for me to see past the day
I feel like I am stuck in yesterday

The wind it does not blow
The sun it does not shine
The rain does not cleanse 
And the ground is keeping me down
I know it's just a day.... but I'm having trouble letting go of yesterday

A chance is given maybe only once 
To let it slip away can leave a lot of pain
You can't go back you can't change the past
You can't fix these mistakes
It's a one shot deal with no appeal
You can't go back
You can't go back to yesterday...

Yesterday was so long ago 
But the memories in my head do not let it go away
Why I return
I know why
The memories I can not hide
These memories will never die...
