On September 9th,2016, the Chicago Tribune submitted an article notifying the people that, "Sept.11 is history, not memory, for Class of 2020".

On November 11th 2014, theblaze.com released a video of Texas Tech Students being asked five questions: Who won the Civil War, Who is the vice president, Who did we gain our independence from, what show is Snooki on, and who has Brad Pitt been married to? For the first 3 questions of the video, students stumbled over their tongues and remained mostly silent other than the words, "I don't know" or "I couldn't tell you". But when asked about modern celebrities/media, all of those interviewed answered almost instantaneously.

Work For What You Earn

When the words, "How much do millennials know about America? " is searched in the Google search engine, exactly two million results surface. Among these results are articles titled, "Why do millennials hate America? ", "7 Reasons millennials are the Worst Generation", and "Why So Many Millennials are Socialists".

Millennials have never fought for their freedom in their lifetime.
This makes us oblivious to earned American pride.
Instead of working for every dollar, we expect state aid to pay us because we are unemployed.
I'm wishing for words that will wash away this "want not work" way of thinking.

If we showed we could take care of ourselves like we can take care of all the notifications on our lock-screens, we might be able do something meaningful with our lives.

If we checked in with ourselves as much as we checked our social media, there would never be another need for advice to run our own lives.

Work for what you earn.
