Ian Nytes Poems

The world is obsessed with shadows
Darkness looming in a night
Where details are more vivid and therapy runs rampant
Sitting on the soft neutral colored couch with so many problems
...

I’ve decided to write a poem without meaning
Rather, random images and thoughts that dance in my head
You may think you find meaning
But I assure you the meaning is dead
...

The voice calls out
It echoes with sound
Resonates and rebounds
Carries a message

How Does That Make You Feel?

The world is obsessed with shadows
Darkness looming in a night
Where details are more vivid and therapy runs rampant
Sitting on the soft neutral colored couch with so many problems
None of which are any concern to mortality
But rather emotional in nature
Hardly is there ever a case that contradicts
The cycle continues day in and day out
Who are you?
Why are you so sad?
We hardly expect anyone who is happy to do anything inspirational
It’s always depressing things that take the spotlight.
Or reckless abandon as means of a way out of the cycle
But the cycle is infinite
There will always be something wrong
You will always have reason to be sad
So what do we do?
We write deep dark emotional lines
Seeking guidance to get through dark times
And the neutral colored couch beckons for another visit
To confess more problems
Because they flow out like a waterfall
Parallel to time
And they are the reason we die
Because we expect a great release
