Iffy Adams Poems

I could have chosen the sky, but I chose you
The moon called on me, but I chose you
Even stars lit up for me, but it was you
I got red roses from him, yet I wanted you
...

Oblivion, where I love to be
I know not you, you know not me,
Blurry the world outside seems
A silent movie no words for me

Hateful Love

I could have chosen the sky, but I chose you
The moon called on me, but I chose you
Even stars lit up for me, but it was you
I got red roses from him, yet I wanted you
Love is cruel, unkind and unforgiving
It pierces the heart like a cunning foe
Tricking its way into the heart
Knowing and certain that it won’t stay
Love is a dangerous thing, letting us in
With the hurricane behind the open door
Love pushes us to the storm, dividing, tearing and separating
All we wanted was contentment, but love, oh love!
Why? Why can’t you be nice, kind and forgiving?
I hate what you do to people, love
You invite them in, but let then go in the winter
Shame on you; love.
I have conquered you love, yes! I have..
I love been in love, I love what love does to me
I love the hate I have for love... I love you, love.
