I am twenty three now
Two scores years later
When I will be old and gray
Fiddling with the memories
More bitter, less sweet
I will take the joy
In Scribbling you
From the faded pages of my diary
Or the incomplete notes of my Samsung Note-4
I may forget the flair of your nose
Or the kohl in your eyes
I may not be able to see
your pale face In the yellow lilies anymore
The smile which sinks in your dimples (though I doubt it)
The way you walk, slow and rustic
The way you talk, more nodes than words
The way you turn back on me
The slight bulge of your hips touching my thighs
My arm around your broad shoulders
The way I shied away when the mouth was ready to kiss
My love! "If" I forget you
Forgive me for that
I have loved you enough
Isn't it the truth
Forgetfulness is the essence of life.
