Full Moon

Above the tower - a lonely full moon,
On the cold pond she passes over sleepy homes,
As she scatters restless gold across the waves.
On mats, her halcyon rays envelop all.

Empty peaks, cricket songs:
Among sparse stars, she floats across the sky.
Cedars and cherry blossoms
Perfume my old garden…
All reflect her golden glow.
