A Bad Start For A Good Poem

I woke up early on a Monday morning,
with a wish to write a poem.
I mimicked those poets,
who wrote on sun rise.
I ran over the stairs,
before it was late.
I stood at the east-edge,
to watch the sun rise.
I could feel the winter cold,
but I couldn't go back down.
I was unfortunately unlucky,
to realize the start of the day was cloudy.
I left my papers blank,
as the day was disgracefully black.
Yet I couldn't give up my desire,
I started my poem with that cheer,
to end it up just here
