The News
Did you hear the news today?
'The relatives have been informed'
Did you realize what they had to say
Or was it far outside your norm?
Life came to an end that day
Tangled wrecks of wars norm.
In the searing sand they lay
Loves unaware of the gathering storm.
The ring of the bell, dreaded day
All dreams and hopes swept away
The Army they called to say
'your loved one is Dead'
All that is left to do is pray
God help them through another day.
