October

October glides in on a fallen leaf
And gathers his friends
Into big parties.
Only to be swept to the road
By a toothed monster
And shiver as the weather gets cold.
October goes to the pumpkin patch
And carves them carefully
And eats some candy
Before running off with a spook
And the first sprinkles of delicate snow.
