Take A Breath

take a breath
a taste of something new
the last of all regrets
the filters soaking through
a hand to mend my wounds
a scar left to remind
even though it hurts
my wounds will heal in time

take a breath
to test the hands of time
grains of sand keep falling
piling up in my mind
scars i bear they bleed
some memories slowly fade
along with the many footsteps
that ive made
