For Those Who Die In Service To Our Nation

A band of brothers brave and true
They fought for the rights of the Red, White and Blue
Left behind their family and friends
The reason for which their life depends
For Honor, for Duty, For Country, for Corp.
How could we ever ask for more
Of a man who lives his life in fear
Of the invisible enemy cruel and severe
There is smoke and fire and wreckage to match
Nothing untouched not even a hatch
Which once attached to the door
O this enemy do I abhor
All for the country they swore to protect
And in return not even respect
That is why Memorial Day is a time to reflect
Who with last dying breadth did not reject
The country he fought for the country he loved
Whose life from this world was shoved
Back to his family wrapped up in a box
At the site they all gawk
At the one they called son
At the one they called brother
Who will now dwell with their heavenly father
