The Best Poem Of James Hamilton

Afterglow

Simply Savagely Scathing,
Your words how they bleed
Spewing bitter astringent, still
Assimilated by a voracious, vampiric me.

You-
Dictate, Mandate, and Innundate
Like an immortal;
Dispensing positional orders.
With acrid tones, and
Gaslight  Introductions.
Direct the Directives Direction
Push an Inclination infection.
Insult my habitation,
Maliciously.

But listen-
All that Vicious Talk
And rhetorical,
vanilla-scented chalk
Can't hide your Sinister hating.
Marinette ain't making it,
Imitating ain't emulating-

It's Shallow, Bitch!

Now I see you got that Odious Itch,
To graduate from shallow up to diabolical,
But-
Your Depraved Turpitude
Will seep through,
Sickly sticky, Inky Black,
Staining your Masquerade
with Acidic Plaque

So while you're up on your
Sky High Equine-
Trying to shove me down into a crack,
Exert control,
or twist the facts-
Before you
Disparage me, Embarrass me
Humiliate me,
Or kick me when I'm down.
You'll see me smile
While you query 'why? ' with a frown
And although you tried
To extinguish my light,
Fray my Line and,
Take my confidence might,
You'll see me shine.
Feel my flow and
Freedom of mind.
As I bask in a fledgling afterglow.
I might not be great
But I know,
I'm good, like-
Brand new, breakthrough,
Tight grain, Rock Bamboo.
Definitely, Definitively  good enough,
To be better than you.
