James Hunter Poems

The mountains majestic, the rivers so clear
The lakes reflect images much like a mirror
The valleys are deep and half full of snow
The calving of glaciers a sight to unfold
...

Deep within these hallowed walls
Living spirits come to pray
They mind their bodies thru the week
Their souls the seventh day
...

Shapely curves and silky smooth
Her beauty filled the room
Turning heads and staring eyes
Her beauty was consumed
...

Way up north in Alaska - Where I raise my family
Is where I find peace of mind - and just adore the scenery
My favorite thing to do here - in the fall before the snow
I climb up in the mountains - where the wild berries grow
...

I wake and it is dark outside
A new velvet coat of white
I love the moon as it reflects
An early awesome light
...

Released from the flowering bud
And carried by the wind
It now awaits the warmth of spring
To gain a foothold once again
...

Where do we go when we die?
My little girl asked once of me
I contemplated the answer
As I sat her on my knee
...

Everyday without fail
My first thought is of you
All through my days and my nights
In everything I do
...

Twelve forever lives were changed
As He befriended everyone
Do my bidding, spread my word
For I am the Son
...

Lying in a shallow grave
My heart has spilled its blood
Lying down and giving up
I've lost the ones I love
...

Serendipity
Makes no sense to me
Found it just by luck
Actuality
...

Concentrate on this candle
Stare deep into the flame
A journey to the unconscious mind
To find the root of all my pain
...

13.

I want to spend the day with you
I'll give you anything you wish
Everything I have is yours
I really must insist
...

We all wait for Christmas
We have different reasons
The kids like the gifts
Adults like the season
...

T'is the night before Christmas
And the sleigh is all packed
The reindeer are ready
Their bells are attached
...

As I opened my eyes, the snow started to fall
The magnificent beauty I just stared in awe
The silence was deafening, no sound to be heard
My mind had no thoughts, my mouth had no words
...

Have you ever had a grizzly bear
Up close and in your face
To smell the stench and see the teeth
And too know there's no escape
...

18.

A darkened place inside of me
Where rejected memories go
Hidden from the conscious mind
Imprisoned within my soul
...

19.

Riding in the thunders storms
You can wear ear muffs if you wish
It's like a roller coaster ride
And you control the switch
...

Your hair a fiery red
Crystal blue for your eyes
An hour glass for a figure
My hands upon your thighs
...

The Best Poem Of James Hunter

Alaska

The mountains majestic, the rivers so clear
The lakes reflect images much like a mirror
The valleys are deep and half full of snow
The calving of glaciers a sight to unfold
Trails that wind thru the mountains above
The sight of a wolf, mother bear and her cub
Eagles that soar thru the rich deep blue sky
Caribou that trek over the tundra so wide
A pipeline that reaches from north to south
Smoked king salmon that melts in your mouth
Moose with their antlers wide and so grand
Nuggets of gold you can hold in your hand
The rivers are lined with fisherman galore
Landing the big one a feat and a chore
Harbors filled with the best fishing fleet
Sourdough and greenhorns the people you'll meet
An adventure unique, maybe once in your life
The sights you will see cannot be described
Alaska the land un yet to be tamed
Only in part will it ever be changed
