Remembering Christmas Poem by James Hunter

Remembering Christmas

We all wait for Christmas
We have different reasons
The kids like the gifts
Adults like the season
The food is a feast
To set a kings' table
Friends and relatives gather
From miles if they're able
We talk and reflect
Of the year that's gone bye
We remember the laughter
And the tears that we've cried
The new people we've met
The people we've lost
The presents we've given
And how much they cost
Most of all we remember
The reason we're here
To give thanks to Jesus
With a love that's sincere
