Bloodstream

Love and sex are not to be mingled
I often find myself practicing stale ballet moves alone to the melody but
my dancing days are over.
Instead I'm setting something free.
There are sharks in my bathtub and monsters
inside my pillowcase.
I found bats in my hair chewing on a freshly torn heart.
Gleaming green eyes in black black coffee..
My over anxious hands counting every raised goosebump on my shoulders
I love to pinch my thighs.
I love to scratch my ribcage
I love to press my emotions down in my stomach and hold my breath until they disappear
I'm not on drugs...
insanity at it's finest
the prettiest little bird with its wings clipped off and worn around my neck
wolves teeth in my mouth
glued on patches of shedding fur..
my cottontail rabbit bit me today,
After I told her I loved her.
I wrote these words but I don't take credit.
There's a brilliant Daemon sitting beside me, and
he's relaying this to you.
We're still waiting for God,
but there's a rumor that he doesn't exist.
we don't really want him to exist...
it's a conversation that no body is really ever up for,
the finger pointing and blaming?
Send me to hell, at least we won't have to hide who we are

I hide behind this wall of armor, but don't buy it.

Instead I sit with my pupils expanding to the size of mars and trembling
like a dying rattlesnake
