An Ode To Mary
There once was a girl of many voices
It was an interest of all the boys-'s
Sometimes she'd speak high and sometimes low
Nobody knew just how the next sound might go
Her eyes were blue and her hair was gold
She was quite mature but not very old
One day she met a boy with distanced eyes
Who knew that the caress of his slender knuckles would soon be her demise?
She spent hours waiting for his viper's kiss
They were in love, she thought, but something went amiss
He yearned for a different voice now
The one of an elder lady, a Lamb, not a cow
