JASMIN HORST E. P. Seiler Poems

The weight and intensity of suffering,
Like a net full of gasping fish,
Trawled from the bottom of life,
Your turn comes at the scale,
...

I’ll run you through!
Cause you’re a Jew,
Or a Christian, or a Drew,

The Silent Voice!

The weight and intensity of suffering,
Like a net full of gasping fish,
Trawled from the bottom of life,
Your turn comes at the scale,

Multitudes wet dripping of sin,
For their lack of compassion,
Their dilemmas their pain,
Unfeeling their God, like them,

The universe takes revenge,
Guilty of the human kind,
We shall struggle for the last time,
Twisting and gasping for to the end,

Remnants of flesh for the birds of prey,
Will we consume, leave only bones behind?
Like scavengers doing their dirty deed,
Bones drying in the eternal winds,

No one soul escapes, none could be found,
For souls have feelings of others,
Upon their compassion they act,
None could be found, just bones,

From the depths of the universe the came,
Searching, they came upon remains,
The bone yard of the earth,
Greed beware, said one, a graveyard of greed,

Bleached by the millennia of time,
Rocks they formed, among rubble of calcium stone,
Mountains of rocks reaching the sky,
In cold silence they stood watching,

A silent monument to their Gods,
Refusing to, when they first could speak,
Speak upon their souls for compassion,
Their stewardship fled, on the wings of silence,

Now silent they stand, a collective memory,
To the end of times,
Suffering the winds that taunt them,
Wailing of sorrows and destruction,

Sitting in silence now, the Gods weep,
For love not consumed,
Their sons and daughters wisdom not heard,
Battles fought and lost now memory.
