Jay Humphrey Poems

The trees, the screams, the ocean breeze,
The silencing heat, the body heaves,
Broken alone, Unholy yet sown,
The pleasure dancing behind the moan
...

How beautiful is the night sky,
Leave you breathless wondering why,
Why the world is filled with smoke,
So thick, the air, makes you choke,
...

3.

You're beautiful, You know that right?
You're light alone shines, in my sightless night,
Your haunting whispe, echos in my ears,
Negating all my deepest fears,
...

Nothing...Nothing..Not a sound,
Not a whisper, Nor a hearts deep pound,
...Vision darkening..Eyes narrow..
Your stomach rushing, Deaths own herald
...

ignorance is bliss, This is true,
True to everyone who isn't you,
Gravity pulls, You can't fly,
Take the jump, Its time to die.
...

So wickedly, the thoughts, seem to elate,
Breaking through barriers of those who relate,
The darkness, its bound,
The silence is sound,
...

The end, it comes, again and again,
Sometimes an enemy, sometimes a friend,
But Either Way I Have To Fight To stay,
Just to breath a breath another day.

Jay Humphrey Biography

20 years old, I live in phoenix, Arizona. Poetry is one of my few outlets in life, A life which consequently is often filled with violence and strife. Yes my poetry is dark, But writing it is what allows me to see color in my world, that otherwise would consist solely of the nightmares to which my writing pertains.)

Withered

The trees, the screams, the ocean breeze,
The silencing heat, the body heaves,
Broken alone, Unholy yet sown,
The pleasure dancing behind the moan

the darkest of time, a spirit in flight,
Running and screaming, Afflicting the fight,
Begging and crying your tears left unfelt,
The burning of skin, The pain of a welt.

Soul blackening, river runs dry,
The blood, its pouring, the blink of the eye,
The angel, its dying, Dancing the rain,
The demon, its laughing, enjoying the pain.

The wind, it shatters, Blanketing the world,
The fire, it freezes, the fingers yet uncurl,
The scream, it empties, the room seems to bend,
The baby, its lonely, left alone yet to fend,

Time, it moves, unsteady again,
Your eyes, they blink, your soul now to send,
Hell, it burns, right in front your eyes,
Your withered eyes blink, your mind telling you lies.
