Jean Marie Casaldi Biography

I have been writing my whole life. My first poem was published in our local paper when I was ten. I have two file cabinet drawers full of journals, rough drafts, art sketchbook journals, partial bits of novels, etc. In other words, I am a typical writer in that I have in inordinate amount of written words, most of which is important only to me. I reached the top level in an old poetry site called Poet's Workshop, but the site was closed down... I am trying to find that work, but so far, nothing. I write for Mirakee under the same pen name, and also InwardQuest.com. I enjoy writing poems, and especially sonnets. Free verse is great fun, too. I am a two-bit writer who is finally taking writing more seriously. Thank you for reading! ???)

Tell Me Your Tales

Tell me your tales:
Make my mind hum electric with your words.
Help me see what you see.
Sing your verses and I will join in chorus.
Your words are living, breathing paint
On the canvas in my mind.
Use the brushes of a word-artist well,
And paint for me your passionate pictures.
Tell me all the great stories you have lived,
Send me back into the aeons of your time.
Deep buried and definite pieces of history
Exist, unexcavated, in your ineffable soul.

Tell me all your stories:
The beautiful and incredible events,
And the terrible, awful tales, too.
I want to know them all!
Light my mind neon and glowing,
Make new the Streets of Manhattan!
Inspire me to reach out to the cosmos.
Paint for me all your words and pictured-windows.

I am here, waiting to know your innermost being;
I am here, your faithful reader.
