Memories are like butterflies
That flutter through the breeze
Just when you think they're gone
They flutter back with ease.
...
Awake in the morning be thankful
You have survived for HIM a new day
Pray for divine guidance to help you
Whatever the command may say
...
How long will we caretakers-
Stand and wring our hands and cry?
There isn't anything we can do!
BUT SURELY WE MUST TRY
...
Memories
Memories are like butterflies
That flutter through the breeze
Just when you think they're gone
They flutter back with ease.
RESERVATION WAIFS
They have never had enough to eat
Nor even warm clothes to wear
Always looking in from the outside
With pain they could not share!
BUFFETTED AND BANGED AND BEATEN
BEWILDERED AND BATTERED - ALONE
NEGLECT AND ABUSE RUN RAMPANT
NOT EVEN A GUTTER TO CALL HOME
The poverty and filth they live in
HOPELESSNESS - Never ending despair
Takes more that a roof for cover
We must show them that WE CARE
Their mournful cry was answered
With a brother's compassionate heart
Pouring love and warmth upon them
Heals their beaten and battered parts
Progress has been made a little stronger
But progress has been slow
A help through this dilemma - GOD
With our Brother surely goes
"THE WIDOW'S MITE" grows mighty
When "we" gray hairs respond
For "WE" CAN HEAR OUR SAVIOR
When "WE' ARE CALLED UPON
