Lost In A Sea

Lost in a sea of humanity
all alone even in the masses
Trapped within my head
thoughts echoing all around
All as loud as thunder

Voices of doubt fill my mind
pain seems to take over and
It proclaims me through as I am
pinned behind a mask of confusion
False illusions of happiness
fillings of uselessness overwhelming
Strange faces everywhere
Reality seems distorted
sadness is over abundant

I seem to Be Floating
on a sea of uncharted waters
the rudder to my life is missing
being carried on the current
Spiraling out of control
barreling toward the walls
on the banks of life.

The Impending disaster is coming
I am powerless to stop it
franticly searching for a life jacket
drowning in a single tear
Behind layers of perception
of who I thought I was

trying to figure out
who have I become.
Is this who I set out to be
or has fate delivered me here

The person that stands
in front of me in this mirror
is there any trace of me left
or has the sands of time taken
all traces and blurred
them intoillusions frozen in time from forgotten dreams
from the bad choices I've made

And as a cruel twist of fate
I still survive
As my life passes through the eternal breeze into the twilight of my existents it seems to be filled with pain.
