Jemme Simbulan Poems

I threw this heart to a place unknown,
I locked it in a chest of hurt and fear,
Sealed with guilt and sadness…
I tried to stop the beat,
...

The night falls slowly
Creeping above the lowly
Lands of shameless people
Busily going home
...

I am not a warrior
I never knew how to swing swords
I neither have my breastplate nor my helmet of gold
I am one of the spectators
...

Forget about poems,
Forget about stories,
Forget about romance,
Who cares about those?
...

Another sad line,
Another cry,
Once again I write these things,
Not hoping you'll read it…

Black Heart

I threw this heart to a place unknown,
I locked it in a chest of hurt and fear,
Sealed with guilt and sadness…
I tried to stop the beat,
But the more I suppress it,
The louder it gets.
I condemned it, it should be burnt!
Oh! How I hate this heart!
Die! Die! Die…
Die with your weakness,
Stop the pain please…
