Runaway

I was running.
Running as fast as my little feet could carry me.
Running to nowhere, the wind roughly caressed my tears on my pale face.

I'm trying to get away from the horror.
But, I can't.
I keep hearing their voices.
"We love you so much, " the voices keep on lamenting.
I wanted to leave them all behind.
They've deprived me of the people I always wanted to be with.
But, they just wanted what was best for me.

I'm alone now.
On the streets,
shivering.
I'm still trying to find warmth.
Suddenly, I want to go back.
To their loving arms.
They've hurt me a lot, but I never stopped loving them.
"Did I? "

I run back.
Back to where I belong.
Back to where all the sad, good, annoying, and happy memories where implanted.
There's no place like home.
