Though fools rule the world,
good men commit crimes.
It's good to be living,
in interesting times.
...

I'd rather die young and die while still alive
Than live a thousand years and die when dead.

I'd rather love one who can not love me,
...

In days of old there was a song,
a song of this other eden.
It's tune was sweet, love was it's beat,
and it's echoes, they tasted of freedom.

Interesting Times

Though fools rule the world,
good men commit crimes.
It's good to be living,
in interesting times.

Where no one believes
the truths that are spoken.
Where evil suceeds,
and good hearts are broken.

Where all things mean nothing
And nothing means all
A half life is better
Than no life at all.

Where hundreds kill thousands
for gods that are'nt real,
our pain makes us human.
We know how to feel.

Each man for himself,
and no man's a hero.
There might be a truth
but it wasn't made clear though.

But despite all our fears,
despite all our crimes,
It's good to be living
in interesting times
