Jesse Mejia Poems

Have you ever noticed,
darkness is the single thing most fear?
when lights depart it fills its place
and makes me hold you near.
...

Ever wondered how it is to be unseen?
To pass one by one
And not even care
What you've done
...

I sit here in my altered state of mind, the beautiful face I once stared at with such lust and love now seems to fill my heart with disgust and despair, altered in a sense by this poison flowing through my cold veins.

You seem ugly, mishapen, changed into something I hate and yet you still have the glow that I love…is that odd, does it seem weird that something so vile, seems to attract me, is it the power you could have over me as I lay here or is it the thought of your death that entices me?
...

Why did I sit there, Watching you in pain?

My words were so useless, Pathetic, dull and plain.

Hope...a blessing or a curse?

When a man has nothing, its hard to hurt him. Harm his body, his mind, his soul, but you could never cause as much pain as that which stole everything from him.
...

with eyes so deep, i almost drown.
and a lovely face for when i'm down,
she's the stitch for a heart so torn,
she's simply perfection in a solid form.

The end of days
will come to past.

And all our feelings

The Darkness

Have you ever noticed,
darkness is the single thing most fear?
when lights depart it fills its place
and makes me hold you near.

you say 'you fool don't fear the dark
theres nothing there to fear.'
but as the light escapes the room
your voice is hard to hear.

it causes shadows to dance about,
wicked voices fill the air.
it reminds me of those i loved and lost
and those who did not care.

i told them not to leave me here
i told them not to go.
but as they left the darkness came
i've never felt so low.

so in the dark there memoirs live
there voices fill my ears.
not even the comfort of your voice
could stop these retched tears.

they left me here alone and hollow
to tell those who wish to die,
for those that drive and strive for death
and believe they only cry.

no matter how the world does seem
there will always be much pain,
but without the suffering and torment
there can never be a gain.

so those who suffer and live in pain
for those whose wrist do hack.
do you peffer the warm bright light
or the cold disturbing black?
