Loving You

As I am saying goodnight at the end of the day,
You are not here by many miles away,
As I wipe the tear I am trying to hide,
I close my eyes and get an image in mind

A distant shadow starts to appear,
I open my eyes to see that you're near,
I look at the stars and see them shine,
They remind me of you so sweet and kind

I hold your hands and give you a hug,
You look in my eyes and say 'you're the one',
I lean over and give you a kiss,
You move in close with your arms on my hips

I see you smile whenever i'm near,
With your eyes shinning bright so vivid and clear,
I carry you home and set you in your bed slow,
You give me a kiss and my heart glows,
I whisper softly 'sweet dreams my dear',
You go to sleep knowing i'll always be here
