Write

I wanna write, I wanna write
I wanna write so bad that my pen
doesn't have enough ink for my paper.
I wanna write so bad that my words are racing
my fingers to the page. So bad that my mind
cannot explain to my heart, the language that
my eyes are seeing.
I wanna write, I wanna write, I wanna write.
I wanna write so bad that the anguish I've pent up for years
Is feeding my intellect with words my soul can't comprehend.
So bad that my skin aches at the sight of a notepad.
So bad that all I think about are words and how to arrange
them in order for one to understand my uniqueness.
I wanna write.
I wanna write so bad that my obsession is the scent of dried ink
on that beautiful white canvas.
Let me write. Write and bear my soul to all let them see me through
my words, let them hear me through my paragraphs.
I'm gonna write.
